Amidst scenes of police-farmers clash on the streets of Haryana and Delhi, a heart-warming video doing the rounds on social media has attracted everyone's attention.

In this video from Haryana's Karnal, a langar organised by a Gurudwara saw a large number of policemen being fed along the National Highway 1.

In the video, dozens of policemen dressed in uniform (some with lathis and in what seems to be riot gear) are seated facing each other in two long rows. Volunteers from the langar can be seen serving them food.

As the 70-second video plays out, more cops can be seen arriving and settling down to eat, using their riot vests as a sheet to sit. Although voices are muffled, at one point in the video someone can be heard saying, 'Thank you' repeatedly.

The langar is organised along a small bridge over a canal; the video pans to show parked police vans. Gurudwaras have been serving langars to people across all communities and beliefs without any discrimination.

The video is being shared by netizens on social media and people are hailing the Sikh community for their compassion.

Farmers from several states - including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab began marching towards Delhi since Thursday, as part of their 'Delhi Chalo' campaign.

However they were confronted by the Haryana police along the border with lathi charges, tear gas and water cannons. Thousands of farmers reached the Delhi border on Friday morning, where they were met with more police barriers and tear gas.

They are protesting laws the centre says will reform the agricultural sector by removing middlemen and improving farmers' earnings by allowing them to sell produce anywhere in the country.

Farmers however feel that the laws will deprive them of guaranteed minimum price for their produce and leave them at the mercy of corporates.
