After Chris Hemsworth proves his worth, Natalie Portman would turn female Thor for the upcoming release Thor: Love And Thunder

Marvel Studios made an exciting announcement on Saturday night. They announced as many as 11 movies and TV shows, which are going to constantly release in theatres or be broadcasted over the next two years. The makers have also introduced newer faces.
However among them, some characters mark their return. Natalie Portman who played Jane Foster in Thor franchise, for example, will come back as a powerful character in Thor: Love And Thunder. If reports are to be believed then she will pick up the might Mjolnir (hammer) post Thor's death.
While unveiling the movie at the recently held Comic Con, Portman spoke about turning the female Thor. She said, "It feels pretty good." The actress, who will play Goddess of Thunder, also added, "I’ve always had a little hammer envy."
Hearing this news was quite a surprise for fans. Natalie had claimed she was done with Marvel movies. That appeared to be reason for her character's abscence in the last Thor movie, Thor: Rangnarok. Hence a few fans have called her hypocrite on that aspect. Meanwhile some others have claimed that she was born to be Jane (especially since her character resembles that in the comics).
I love this. I love #natalieportman. I hope she’s committing to more than a one-and-done. Marvel’s female heroes deserve more.

I mean that was clear from the beginning, or not? Female #Thor comic has been around for quite a time too, after all. #Marvel #MCU #NataliePortman https://t.co/HdRR2I9Ukm
I wake up and find out @Avengers Endgame surpased @officialavatar, they have released 10 movie dates (7 in 2021) for phase four and that Natalie Portman is the goddess of thunder and that Angelina Jolie is joining the MCU. #NataliePortman #MarvelSDCC #ThorLoveAndThunder pic.twitter.com/4MuPIy6X9a

Woman plays Thor
Men for 5 minutes "Thor shouldn't be a woman"
Women "Ohh you're fragile aren't you"#Thor #NataliePortman #Women #hypicrites
I hope so too, Juliek. That #NataliePortman as #JaneFoster , becomes a female Thor makes no sense to me. Sorry Let's see what the universe brings us. https://t.co/k67dRGsoJU

One of the fans even raised a question whether Natalia replaced Scarlett Johansson for the character.
Was #NataliePortman chosen to play #Thor over ScarJo because Scarlett isn't actually a mythological goddess from Scandinavia?

Taika Waititi would direct Natalie with Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson in the movie which is slated to release in theatres on November 5, 2021.
