The second trailer for second Star Wars franchise spin-off, Solo: A Star Wars Story dropped Monday morning (IST) ahead of its Cannes Film Festival premiere in May.
This 2.25-minutes-long trailer begins with Qi'Ra (Emilia Clarke of Games of Thrones) sussing out Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich of Hail! Caeser) by asking a series of questions.
Tobias Beckett (Woody Harrelson of The Hunger Games), possibly the go-to guy for all things shady, is 'putting together a crew for a big shot gangster.' Solo appears to have accepted a position in the rag-tag gang because he had been waiting for a shot like this.
In this crew, he meets his future best friend Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover of Atlanta), Val (Thandie Newton of Westworld), sassy droid L3-37 (Phoebe Waller-Bridge of Fleabag in CGI) and the blaster (which later becomes part of the story where everyone asks 'who shot first?').
Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo), who is a hundred and ninety years old by the way, is not sure about Han's decision but tags along anyway.
As the crew embarks on an inter-galaxy heist, Beckett gives Han an advice: "Assume everyone will betray you. And you will never be disappointed."
