Margot Robbie is all set to present her a new side of Harley Quinn. Every girl has her own way of dealing with breakups and Harley takes on Gotham City's crime lord Black Mask played by Ewan McGregor. Warner Bros dropped the trailer of upcoming film Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) yesterday to introduce the big star cast. The film is part of DC Extended Universe and continues on right after Suicide Squad ended.

Harley Quinn will be joining forces with Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya to protect a 16-year-old, Cassandra Cain from a crime lord. Margot Robbie will reprise her role as Joker's girlfriend and villain Harley Quinn. Some of the other actors who will be seen in the film are Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya and Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain. The big bad villain will be played by Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Ewan McGregor will be seen as Black Mask.

The trailer shows Quinn heartbroken after splitting from Mr J. She seems to be going through a self-loathing phase as she comes to terms with the fact that she actually isn't the big bad villain she thought to be alongside Joker. She can be heard saying in the trailer, "You know what a Harley Quinn is? Harley Quinn's role is to serve and she is nothing without her master. Nobody gives two shits, who we are beyond that." She gets a new haircut, is often seen drinking, and is looking forward to having some girl time.

The tale will follow Harley as she grows into her own person, maybe the bad guy or the bad guy who does some good. In Suicide Squad we see Harley has only one goal - to be with Joker and after getting to him, by the end, when she steps out of his shadows, she is left to question about herself. By the end of Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), we will have a new persona of the age-old character. Harley in the trailer also says, "I am the one they should be scared of because I am Harley freaking Quinn."

Birds of Prey, directed by Cathy Yan, is set to hit the screens on February 7, 2020.
