Both trailers for Avengers: Infinity War focused on new alliances forming up between Earth's mightiest heroes. One such bond was between Tony Stark aka Iron Man, Bruce Banner aka the Hulk, Wong, Peter Parker aka Spider-Man and Doctor Strange.

Stark, Banner, Parker and Strange are men of science. Apart from fighting Thanos, that could be a common thread between these guys. Not to forget to add Wakanda's technology chief Shuri in the mix.

These collaborations mean the actors playing the parts had to spend a lot of time working together on the set. This is when Benedict Cumberbatch who plays Doctor Strange, discovered that Robert Downey Jr is a 'quick, light on his feet, smart-thinking' actor.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the Sherlock star revealed that the relationship between Stark and Strange will have sparks flying. But they are united by a purpose bigger than anything. He assured the fans that given the wits of both men, there will be a few one-liners along the way.

He also said that working with RDJ was a pleasure.

"I got on very well with Robert Downey Jr. He’s the most inclusive leading man, and generous to a fault, and just a pleasure to be around. It’s a very happy set when RDJ’s on it, and that goes for everyone, not just the actors. He’s funny, he’s quick, he’s so light on his feet, such a smart-thinking actor. It’s quite something to watch people like RDJ, who have been doing it so brilliantly for so long, in their prime. It’s a really really nice thing to be on the set, like I said, but it’s a really really lovely thing to watch him work and be part of that work as well," he told the magazine.

After Avengers: Infinity War and the untitled fourth Avengers movie, with regard to Marvel Cinematic Universe, Cumberbatch will be gearing up for the second instalment of Doctor Strange. The Imitation Game star did not reveal when they are planning to shoot it.

"The masterplan is continually in flux, so it would be out of order for me to speculate," he said.

Apart from the Marvel tentpole, Cumberbatch will be next seen in Showtime series Patrick Melrose set to premiere on May 12 in the US.
