Skin bleaching: His obsession with changing his colour and wanting to look Caucasian had a disastrous effect on his skin. In the mid-80s, his skin also started appearing paler and whiter due to the use of over-the-counter skin bleaching creams according to some reports. He was also diagnosed with vitiligo- a skin discolouration disorder . However, there is no way to know whether the skin lightening creams caused vitiligo or not.

Thinner lips and hollow eyes: In the same report, the surgeon said that Jackson appeared to have thinned his lips thinned and some fat removed from around his eyes.
