Pooja Bhatt presents another side in her reaction to Sonu Nigam's azaan rant!
Updated : Apr 19, 2017, 11:32 AM IST
Sonu Nigam, on April 17, went on a Twitter rant against how he has to wake up to the azaan every morning calling it 'forced religiousness' among other things. While his tweets didn't go down well with the Twitterati and a certain section of the society, they certainly have sparked off a debate of sorts on the use of loudspeakers at places of worship.
Though the singer had to face a lot of backlash for his comments, he stuck to his stance and tweeted, "Dear everyone. Your stand exposes your own IQ. I stand by my statement that loudspeakers should not be allowed in Mosques & Temples. Period"

A number of celebs have reacted on Sonu Nigam's comments, some of them being Wajid Khan, Richa Chadha, Vivek Agnihotri, among others have added their views on the issue. Joining the line, Pooja Bhatt too expressed her views on the matter that present another side to the situation. She wrote, "I wake each morning to the sound of church bells & the Azaan in a quiet by-lane of Bandra.I light an aggarbatti & salute the spirit of India"

Bhai @sonunigam I'm proud of my faith n my identity as an Indian. If it was abt loudspeakers then it should've been only abt loudspeaker

It was about Loudspeaker, and only loudspeaker. Too bad that they r on Mosques, Temples & Gurudwaras, thus the reference. Let's be human 1st https://t.co/JDwUHvqDnW
