Would have turned down a gay role before Fawad did 'Kapoor And Sons', admits Ranbir Kapoor

Not many actors love to be stereotyped. Or should we say, risk being typecast. Everyone has their own reservations. Ranbir Kapoor admittedly had them too.

2016 has been a game changer in Bollywood, also when it comes to representation of the gay community on screen. With Fawad Khan and Akshay Kumar leading the race and making sure their homosexual characters aren't caricaturish at all, many actors have come out and lauded their efforts. 

Ranbir himself admits in an interview, "Earlier I must honestly say I might have turned it down." He quickly adds that now he is more open about such roles. "Now it’s already been done. Now he’s (Fawad has) opened the door and it’s easy for us to walk through it."
