WHOA! Baahubali 2 GROSSES Rs 540 crore worldwide, all set to beat Baahubali's lifetime collections today!

Baahubali 2 has released and is working like crazy at the ticket counters. The box office occupancy of the film has been the highest for any Indian film ever and it will possibly the highest grossing Indian film of all times. 

The film has gate-crashed into several pre-existing records. But now, it has created a new benchmark at the box office as well. The film's Hindi version raked in Rs 41.5 crore nett on Friday, Rs 40 crore on Saturday and added another RS 46.5 crore on Saturday, taking its 3 day nett total to Rs 128 crore. That is just the Hindi version.

The gross figure for the Hindi version alone stands at a whopping Rs 200 crore plus. But if you breakdown the whole box office collection for the last three days, Baahubali has grossed Rs 415-420 crore over the first weekend from all its versions in the domestic market.

The film has added another Rs 120 crore gross from the worldwide and overseas markets, taking its 3 day worldwide gross to a whopping Rs 540 crore. This also means that the gap between Baahubali 2 and Baahubali's lifetime collections now is only of around Rs 100-110 crore.

Baahubali had collected Rs 645-650 crore worldwide when it released in July 2015. Today being another holiday, there will be consistency in the film's performance and the collections won't dip too much. So a Rs 110 crore plus gross on Day 4 is guaranteed. This means by the end of its first Monday, Baahubali 2 will surpass the total lifetime gross of Baahubali. That's huge!
