The actor flamed up over a question asked by a reporter. Here's what actually happened...
Sushant Singh Rajput was present at the trailer launch of Raabta on Monday, along with Kriti Sanon, Jim Sarbh and Dinesh Vijan. While the trailer received heaps of positive reviews and applause, it doesn't seem like Sushant will be going home that happy after a reporter egged him on to talk about Kulbhushan Jadhav.
For those who aren't in the know, Jadhav is an Indian national who was arrested in Balochistan, Pakistan, on charges of terrorism and spying for the Indian spy agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). Jadhav said that he is a serving commander of the Indian navy, while the Indian government denied any links to him and said that while he was a naval officer, he was prematurely retired. Jadhav was recently sentenced to death in Pakistan.
In the Q&As session with the media, one of the reporters asked the cast on their views regarding Kulbhushan Jadhav. Kriti told Dinesh that she didn't really want to comment on the issue and Sushant didn't show much of an inclination to answer either.
While the session then progressed fine, another reporter in the front row stood up to indicate her displeasure with taking no for an answer. She pressed Sushant on, asking him why public figures like him don't take it upon themselves to comment on issues of importance like these.
Sushant tried to calm her down and make her understand that he may not be in the best position to answer the question. But the reporter went on, and the actor ultimately lost his cool. He asked her whether it would be fair for him to comment on something about which he hasn't got the facts? He further added if she could answer any question that he asked and then also made statements like “Where is it written that a public figure has to comment on everything?”
After she continued to go on, he gave up and decided to just ignore her, even speaking over her to ask if anyone had any other questions.
