Priyanka Chopra hosted UN's Global Citizen Festival in New York along with biggies like Salma Hayak,Hugh Jackman and Neil Patrick Harris!
On Saturday night, Priyanka Chopra along with Hugh Jackman, Neil Patrick Harris and Salma Hayak hosted the Global Citizen Festival in New York. Not just that, PC shared the stage with biggies like Chris Martin, Rihanna and others. This girl surely knows how to roll!
The high profile music festival was established to mark United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals that are broadly aimed at ending poverty. And PeeCee was at her candid best. Known for her witty responses, it wasn't too difficult for the heroine to get the audiences roaring as she hosted a few segments on the show.

Held in New York’s Central Park , the festival’s star studded lineup included top music stars like Rihanna, Ellie Goulding,Usher, Kendrick Lamar, Selena Gomez, Major Lazer and Metallica among others. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin who is the Creative Director of the festival was also present. Priyanka Chopra was snapped with Chris as well.
Becoming the most successful crossover star and India’s first truly global supertar, Priyanka Chopra represents a global citizen in the truest sense of the term. Apart from sharing the stage with the who's who of Hollywood, she also talked about the Global Citizen Festival India and co-hosted few segments on the show.
Priyanka Chopra said, “There were some amazing performances. I co-hosted with Hugh Jackman, Salma Hayek Pinault and Neil Patrick Harris among others. What's more exciting is that I talked about the Global Citizen Festival India on stage tonight.What's special about this campaign is that it gives people the ability to empower themselves. I think it's important to have a concert like this in the country. The idea is to end extreme poverty by 2030. The initiative will focus on quality education, gender equality and clean water and sanitation among other things. It's tough, but at least people have taken an initiative to advocate to the crowd who will attend the concert. The tickets aren't free, you will actually have to earn them by doing tasks. So, this isn't just an event where celebrities will come and sing. That is just the reward. It's the start of a movement."
