In every article about Moana, I have mentioned the music by Lin-Manuel Miranda and his creation of the Broadway hit Hamilton. If by this time you have no idea who that person is, we need to have chat about Google and Twitter and how to use them both.

The new clip from Disney's animated movie not only features the music by the aforementioned genius, it also gives you a taste of his unique voice in the song called 'We Know the Way'. And if you listen closely, which Mr Miranda would want you to, you can hear another voice. That's Opetaia  Foa'i for you.

In the clip, sailors from Moana's community in the Pacific Ocean are shown sailing away and discovering a great many islands of Oceania. They slice through the water to start the civilisation in new places and the tradition continues from one generation to another. With some bass and subtle ukelele notes, the song talks of the voyages which stopped for a millennium some 3000 years ago.

No one knows the reasons why it all stopped. But the new Disney princess on the horizon, Moana, will embark on a quest to be the master Wayfinder and reignite the torch and traditions with the help of a demigod Maui, that goes back ages. The journey will save her island and she will find her own identity in the process.

Lin-Manuel Miranda is joined by Mark Mancina and Opetaia Foa'i in the composing room for the movie directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, the very people responsible for iconic movies like The Little Mermaid and Aladdin.

Voiceover cast features Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, debutante Auli'i Cravalho, Alan Tudyk, Nicole Scherzinger, Jemaine Clement, Rachel House, and Temuera Morrison.

Moana releases in the US on November 23. It sails in Indian theatres on December 2.
