Watch: Everyone's favourite space outlaws are back in Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2 sneak peek

Over the last few years, we’ve seen a lot from Marvel. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has exploded with a host of new characters while the likes of Luke Cage, Daredevil and Jessica Jones are keeping it real on the streets. One of our favourite movies from Phase 2 was director James Gunn’s Guardian of the Galaxy with its adorable characters and was hailed by many as Marvel’s answer to Star Wars. And now director James Gunn, as promised, has dropped the first sneak peek of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, which has everything going for it.

While a full-length trailer was shown to fans in San Diego Comic-Con. James Gunn tweeted: “So the 1st #GotGVol2 trailer is coming soon; in the meantime, we put together this special sneak peek for you.”

With Blue Suede’s Hooked on a feeling as the leit motif,  the trailer doesn’t reveal much. But we do see a glimpse of the old gang as Drax assures Peter Quill that he only needs to find a woman as ‘pathetic as him’, when he complains about Gamora’s reluctance to dance!And Groot is back but as a baby, while Yondu seems to have joined the team. We also saw Mantis’ first look. Most of the cast-members from the first movie is returning including Chris Pratt (Star Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax), Vin Diesel (Groot) and Bradley Cooper (Rocket). They’re also being joined by Sylvester Stallone, Kurt Russell and Elizabeth Debicki. The movie is set to release on May 2017.
