You'd have to be under a rock to not have heard about the stripping scene from a clip in the Deadpool teaser, which was released online as is.

In this scene, Ryan Reynolds rushes into a nearby phone booth to change into his costume a la Superman. But before he is seen in the infamous red-and-black outfit we now know so well, he strips down completely and his butt cheeks get pressed on to the glass of the phone booth. This teaser is available online, so feel free to check it out.

Said scene has been passed sans cuts by the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification aka the Censor Board). This is the same Censor Board that in 2015 demanded that two kisses in the James Bond film Spectre “be cut down by half", while films like Gregory Jacobs's Magic Mike XXL, Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan's erotic drama Fifty Shades of Grey and its sequel Fifty Shades Darker, which had a 2017 February opening, were not permitted to release in India at all. In fact, when Deadpool released in India, it was suggested several cuts that were followed through.

Somehow, trailers attached to Logan, a Hugh Jackman film seem to have it easy. Logan escaped with several F-words intact including one that's actually on the Board's blacklist. Surprisingly, the Board which usually cuts out nudity and still gives films an 'A' rating, decided in all its wisdom to let the Deadpool trailer pass through as is. Starting from Friday, it has been attached to Logan.

A spokesperson for Fox Star Studios, the studio behind both films, told Mumbai Mirror, “We are excited that the Deadpool 2 clip will be out from today with Logan and played the way it was intended to - without any cuts."

The tabloid has learnt that the studio muted out the word `mother***er' which can be clearly heard in the clip available online, before it was submitted to the Indian censors. However, other four-letter words in the clip have been allowed to go through unchallenged.
