Though fans of the popular show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein were very happy on seeing their two favourite stars - Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya getting engaged, they had been wanting to find out the reason behind the 'extreme secrecy' maintained by the two stars.
Though rumours were abuzz of the two stars dating each other for a long time, the couple had never come out in open of their relationship. In fact, their engagement that took place recently on Friday was also a low-key affair which was attended by close family members. Thus, the one question which did bother everyone was, 'Why so much secrecy for everything?'
In an answer to the above question, Vivek reportedly told a leading online portal,"We were not dating each other. Everyone was cornering us and asking if we were dating, which was not true. We were two people exploring the fact whether we were compatible enough to settle into the institution of marriage. Sadly, there was a lot of negativity, people were calling us names, which was disheartening. Some doubted our intentions. Most of them were not genuine fans but random people. We were growing fond of each other and did not want this negativity to make a dent in our relationship. This is why it was kept under wraps. I hope fans who are reading this understand our point of view.”
Though we agree that the two stars are a big name as far as TV is concerned, we also abide by the fact that they both are entitled to their privacy and the manner in which they desire to lead their personal lives. What we only wish is a prosperous life and happier times for the newly-engaged love-birds. Agree?
