Once Virat removed the picture he shared (of Anushka and himself), media houses jumped the gun and blamed him. We found it completely unfair, here's why!
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have been in love for years now. Despite the hiccups in their relationship, one thing that separates them from all other couples is the way they have maintained their dignity and respected each other's spaces, whether together or not.
From the time, Anushka opened up about being in love with the Indian skipper, there have been speculations and news stories regarding the couple - good, bad and even ugly at times. Recently, there was story which claimed Virat's piped in money to produce Anushka's next Phillauri which turned out to be a blatant lie. Otherwise silent, Anushka did not take things lying down and hit out at the media house for the 'baseless' story.
Cut to Valentines Day, Virat had posted a cute picture of himself and Anushka with an adorable message. The post was live on all his social media handles including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Soon after, when news agencies and websites picked it up, Virat decided to remove the post. But only from Facebook and Twitter.
Once he removed the post, there was a barrage of tweets that slammed the cricketer for doing so. Many news portals too mocked his decision to first put up the picture only to remove it. But we feel it's completely unfair to blame Virat for this.
First things first, it is his personal space, his social media timeline and he has the right to do whatever he wants to. Just like we won't like others interfering with our timelines, it's only fair that we understand the celebrities' point of views too. Secondly, what are we actually blaming him for? The post which was removed from Facebook and Twitter is still very much visible on Instagram. So how does it matter? As for Virat, we totally loved what you wrote and you and Anushka together, are giving all couples some serious relationship goals. We like!
