The MS Dhoni biopic is now out in theatres and is doing fabulously well at the ticket windows. With Rs 74 crore coming in 4 days, the film is all set for a historic run at the box office. But while director Neeraj Pandey spoke about revealing the untold episodes of Dhoni's life, here's one very important episode he missed out!

Have you watched the film already? Then you would know that it was Dhoni's friend Santosh Lal who taught him how to play the helicopter shot. Santosh called it the 'thappad' shot. Helicopter shot is possibly one that Dhoni is now famous for and has already become a national craze with people trying to imitate and learn playing the same shot.

But do you know that the person who taught Dhoni the helicopter shot is no more? Santosh was battling for his life and succumbed to acute pancreatitis in 2013. He was only 32. Dhoni who's been his childhood friend did everything to save him but he could not. Although Neeraj showed Santosh teaching him the shot, he deliberately kept his death aside while scripting the film. We bet you didn't know this till now!
