Comic book fans are gearing up for the ultimate battle onscreen in 2016. The year will see Captain America 3 not only bring the civil war to screen but will also set the stage for a face off between Marvel's two most iconic characters - Captain America's alter-ego Steve Rogers played by Chris Evans and Iron Man, Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr. In the battle of the superheroes who do you think will emerge victorious? We find out more about the plot, the men behind the masks, and reveal their strengths and chinks in the armour.

Captain America v/s Iron Man
Captain America played by Steve Rogers
Origins US Army soldier Steve Rogers volunteered to receive the experimental Super-Soldier Serum, during World War II, US Army soldier Steve Rogers volunteered to receive the experimental Super-Soldier Serum. Enhanced to the pinnacle of human physical potential, he became Captain America. After a failed mission left him encased in ice for decades, he was found and revived by the Avengers, later leading the team's leader.
A superhero minus superpowers Armed with only a shield in hand and the power of the Super-Soldier Serum, Captain America can only go so far. He is at the peak of his human physical capabilities, which makes him more agile, strong and fast.

Captain America's weakness The fact that he is human
His human body makes him susceptible to harm. He can be stabbed, suffer burns, get hurt like any other mortal.
His relationship with the government Is not the best one and it could deteriorate even further if the makers stick to the plot, which will see Stark and Rogers, feud over the Superhero Registration Act, which forces anyone with superhuman abilities to reveal their identities to the US government and agree to act as a police force for the authorities. Stark supports the program, but Rogers does not, saying it threatens civil liberties, causing sides to be taken and Rogers, among others, to go on the run to avoid arrest.

Iron Man played by Robert Downey Jr
A superhero minus superpowers

A rich spoiled brat with no superpowers but knows how to use technology to his advantage. His armoured suit has everything a superhero would need and he relies on technology to deliver his brand of justice.
Iron Man's weakness - Heart
His heart is on the verge of being torn to pieces by shrapnel. Were it not for a little magnet that keeps the dangerous materials in place, Stark would die instantly. It does keep him alive but ages him faster.
His relationship with the government Considering he has no problems disclosing his identity, his relationship with the government seems stable. Taking sides with the government however, could mean Stark could play a villain of sorts in Captain America 3.
Who do we think could win? It's anyone's game at the moment because both are on par. Stark is definitely in a better position if he allies with the US government, setting stage for an epic fallout with his avengers mate.
