The Beginning of The End? Madhu Mantena LEAVES Phantom after the Vikas Bahl scandal

Recently, the whole industry was shocked with the news of sexual harassment and molestation charges leveled against one of the prominent filmmakers of today's times - Phantom's Vikas Bahl. 

According to a report in a leading daily, Vikas had physically and sexually abused a female employee. repeatedly over the last one and half years. "a young woman working at Phantom Films had alleged that she was molested by Vikas Bahl, director of the much-acclaimed Queen, during a trip to Goa a few months ago," the report reads. 

"Vikas Bahl, who had already stopped attending office, was formally told on March 28 to step down from his position," the article further added. But now, this has become such a huge issue, it's caused a lot of furore on the social media. Anurag Kashyap who anyway had an issue with Vikas, post the infamous spat they had when Bombay Velvet tanked at the box office, decided to act against the Queen director. 

Not just that, now we hear that Madhu Mantena has decided to leave Phantom and go solo. He will not be producing films under the banner and won't be a part of the company anymore. The SpotboyE report says, "After the huge fight, it turns out that Madhu Mantena is ready to exit Phantom. Vikas Bahl has already been given the boot, thanks to the sex scandal. Over the years, Anurag, Vikas and Vikramaditya’s camaraderie has died and Madhu is often caught in the crossfire. Naturally, the producer is frustrated and wants to leave the camp."
