Tamil Nadu: Who is going to take home the Super Singer 5 title today?

The Airtel Super Singer 5 finale is airing on Star Vijay today. The reality singing competition in Tamil Nadu is one of the most popular TV programmes. There were 33 contestants who took part in the show and the five finalists who have been named are Rajaganapathy, Siyad, Fareedha, Anand Krishnan and Lakshmi Pradeep.  Rajaganapathy, Fareedha and Siyad are direct finalists, while Anand Aravind Krishnan and Lakshmi Pradeep are wild-card entries.

The five finalists five will perform two freestyle rounds in the grand finale. They will also be seen performing with pianist-cum-composer Stephen Devassy. Singers like Gana Bala, Sid Sriram, and Sean Roldan will also perform at the event for the audience. 

Who are the finalists?

Fareedha M - She is well versed in classical forms of music and is one of the first direct finalists of Super Singer 5.

Rajaganapathy - He is a Carnatic singer and won the Most Progressive Singer Award. He is also a direct finalist of Super Singer 5.

Siyad K - He is well-versed in classical, folk and western genres. He received the Soulful Singer Award. He is a direct finalist of Super Singer 5.

Anand Krishnan - He received Creative Singer Award. He is a wild card entry.

Lakshmi Pradeep - She is quite good across all the genres. She received the Expressive Singer Award. She is a wild card entry.

The Super Singer 5 show is hosted by Makapa Anand, Priyanka Deshpande and Bhavna Balakrishnan. The live event is going to be held in the evening on March 18, at DB Jain College, Thuraipakkam, Chennai.
