Gulzar was on Saturday selected for the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke award, the highest official recognition for film personalities in India.
A great poet, amazing lyricist, scriptwriter and fimmaker, the 79-year old Gulzar, whose real name is Sampooran Singh Kalra, is a very keen observer of human relationships, which is mirrored in his lyrical masterworks.
