Filmmaker Subhash Ghai is on the lookout for a completely fresh face for his film Kaanchi. The director wants someone who has never acted in a movie and does not have a set image in the industry.

"For the film we are looking for a new girl for the title role. She should be a complete newcomer and should not have acted in any film before. Other than this, she can be a model or a TV artist," he said.

Other than this, the cast includes veteran actors Rishi Kapoor and Mithun Chakraborty.

"We are trying our best to find her. We plan to finalise by December so that we can start shooting in January," he said.

Talking about the character which the new girl has to play, he said: "The character is very performance-oriented. Either she should be like that in reality or she must be able to act well," he said.

The director plans to shoot abroad and in India, including Jammu and Kashmir.

Kaanchi is slated for a 2013 release.
