Futuristic va va voom
Only Kangana can pull off a pair of fishnet stockings with such elan. She did it and how. Edgy and fierce - she looks straight out of a sci-fi flick. Oozing her confidence, she wears the Tom Ford sequinned dress and boots well. Opting for a top knot and smokey eyes she looks like straight out of a Pre-fall look book. Alexander Wang's athletic models come to mind. Bravo for working such a dramatic look so well.
Granny chic gone wrong
Pulling off a skirt-suit combo isn't everyone's glass of sangria. Though we love Kajol's make-up, hair and smokey eyes - there are too many problems with the ensemble. It's far from flattering and she seems to be drowning in the white fabric. The drapey neckline just adds to the excessive bulk. Also, white can be tricky colour for a red carpet outing and should only be worn if one's super confident to rock it.
Elegance reinterpreted
Looking pretty and polished, Alia Bhatt is a metaphor for effortless elegance in this Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla ensemble. The pale peach hue and white chikankari embroidery add to her glowing skin. We're glad she didn't opt for any accessory. A pair of ornate earrings and traditional hair completed the look. Full marks to the young actress for proving that sometimes being simple is the best idea.
Mermaid's post-mortem
We can't get over the trumpet hem - it's like a mermaid who got injured on a beach and got trapped in a muddy puddle. Despite being given a questionable gown, Gauhar Khan still looks ravishing. We like the slick-back hair and bold pout though that can't be said about the gown. She had opted for a similar silhouette a few weeks ago at an awards show. Perhaps it's time to ditch the drama for something more tasteful and fashion-forward.
Déjà vu moment
We aren't really hearting Ileana D'cruz's pick of this full-skirted Hema Kaul dress which was previously seen on Tamannah and Neha. The matching pumps just makes it all the more yawn-inducing. Also, the outfit looks too metallic to be worn during a day event. However, a big thumbs up for the sunnies and the fascinator. Wish she had opted for a bold print outfit or taken a pastel route.
Needed a tad tailoring
We like Masaba in this grey printed tunic kurti worn with a bright sindoor red skirt. However, she seems a bit overwhelmed by the length of the fabric. A bit of tailoring and tweaking would have flattered her more. A pair of ornate earrings, frizzy hair and a bold mouth add to the great finish. To tone down the festive ensemble, the designer opted for a pair of nude sandals. Nonetheless, she wore the whole look with ease and confidence.
