Emerald touch: Scarlett Johansson showed off her post-baby figure in an emerald green Atelier Versace gown. She styled it with a statement neckpiece that unfortunately overshadowed the outfit. We like the edgy sleeked back undercut hair do.

Over the top: Lady Gaga sure knows how to grab eyeballs. The songstress sported a custom white and silver Azzedine Alaia gown for the awards night. While the voluminous skirt was fine, it was the wacky red rubber gloves that threw the entire outfit off.

Going nude: Jennifer Aniston looked radiant in a one shoulder embellished nude Versace gown. The sheer panel worked beautifully to highlight her svelte bod.

Red love: Rosamund Pike looked radiant in a strapless red Givenchy Haute Couture gown. The outfit was not just a great fit but the slit showed just the right amount of skin. Wish she had worn some statement danglers though.

Awkward: Jennifer Lopez went for a nude Elie Saab gown with a plunging neckline. As luck would have it Robert Duvall's wife Luciana also opted for a nearly identical Saab gown in a peach hue. Wonder if the two avoided each other for the night.

Beaded beauty: Lupita Nyong'o chose a pearl-encrusted Calvin Klein dress. The figure-hugging gown had a small cut-out at the chest, but more than that it worked as it looked beautiful against her skin.

Frumpy route: Julianne Moore may have taken home the big prize but she failed to impress on the red carpet in this custom Chanel gown. The black and white embellished design and fit did nothing for the otherwise stunning actress.

Floral touch: Gwyneth Paltrow looked lovely in a blush pink one-shoulder Ralph and Russo gown. The outfit had a large pink flower on one shoulder and the outfit highlighted her lean figure.

Pastel touch: Props to Jared Leto for walking the red carpet in a lilac Givenchy tuxedo that he accessorised with a pink flower brooch. The actor kept his signature ombre mane open and finished his look with stark white footwear.

Winner all around: Eddie Redmayne not only took home the Best Actor award but he also won hearts on the red carpet. Eddie pulled off this well-tailored navy Alexander McQueen suit with elan.
