Soon after Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli made it official on their respective social media handles that they've tied the knot with each other in a joint statement, congratulatory messages and wishes started poring in from all corners for the couple. Be it Twitter or Instagram, the duo's feed was showered with a lot of love and affection from their friends in the industry as well as from the cricketers.
From Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, to Priyanka Chopra and Kajol, almost the entire tinsel town congratulated the couple on social media, except Deepika Padukone who didn't tweet out to the newly weds. Now, gossip mills got busy churning how the two actresses don't see each other eye to eye because of their history.
For those who're uninitiated, Anushka Sharma once dated Deepika Padukone's beau Ranveer Singh. However, all the negative stories and rumours doing the rounds seem to have little truth to them, as apparently, both Ranveer and Deepika have decided to send their best wishes in person, rather than on social media.
Turns out that Ranveer and Deepika have sent a special gift to Virat and Anushka's new abode in Worli, Mumbai. A report on SpotboyE suggests that a beautiful bouquet of exotic flowers has been sent by Deepika and Ranveer to Virushka's new apartment but since the newly wed couple is vacationing in Rome as of now, the bouquet was received by the guard at their new abode.
Reportedly, the bunch of flowers was also accompanied by the heartfelt message which has been signed by both Ranveer and Deepika. Ranveer and Anushka have previously worked together in films like Band Baaja Baaraat and Ladies vs Ricky Bahl.
Meanwhile, Anushka and Virat will be seen hosting a wedding reception for family members in Delhi on December 21. Another reception is to be held in Mumbai on December 26 for their friends from Bollywood and Cricketers.
