Sonakshi Sinha and Fawad Khan team up for the film on Sahir Ludhianvi-Amrita Pritam's love story

A love story from the 1940s where a poet and budding lyricist met and fell in love with a beautiful woman will form the basis for another Bollywood film. That being the love story between Sahir Ludhianvi and Amrita Pritam which will be made into a film very soon. . 

After Priyanka Chopra and Arjun Kapoor were seriously considered for the role, it seems that the film did not appeal to the two actors and hence, the makers have decided to cast Sonakshi Sinha and Fawad Khan as the lead protagonists for the romantic film. 

A casting coup again, this will yet again be a fresh pair on screen. While Sonakshi will play Amrita, Fawad will be essaying the role of Sonakshi's husband Imroze. But the team is on the lookout to cast someone as the male lead. And we hear talks are on with Arjun Kapoor to come on board and play the role of Sahir Ludhianvi in the film.
