The leaked video clip of the much-in-the-news actress Radhika Apte from a film meant only for the international market (why only international?) has greatly incensed actress Shweta Prasad who not too long ago had found herself at the vortex of a sex scandal .

Shweta speaks passionately in Radhika's defence. She says, "I was there when it was shot. I assisted Anurag on this film and I''m very proud of it. I cannot talk about the content of the short film. That is for director Anurag Kashyap to say. But I loved the script. It was a beautiful story and meant only for the international market." Seeing how Radhika's nude shot has gone viral, Shweta feels the decision to not show the short-film in India was correct.

Upset and angry Shweta says, "The nude shot was done so carefully. It was asexual innocent and beautiful. It is completely stripped of a sexual context. Vikramditya Motwane's mom saw the film. She cried."

Shweta remembers how carefully the scene was shot. "Anurag made sure there was no one except two women, one of them being me, on the sets. Anurag has a daughter and he is deeply sensitive to issues regarding the violation of a woman's private space. I salute him for shooting the sequence so sensitively. And as a fellow-actor and as a part of a team I salute Radhika Apte for doing what she did. I am a woman and an actor. And I know how deeply affected we were by the scene. To tear it out of context and use it for titillation…what a shame!"
