It's been almost two weeks to the sad demise of our Anandi aka Pratyusha Banerjee and the nation is still coming to terms with it. While the small screen is still reeling from the shock, there have been many advances in the Pratyusha death case. Pratyusha's parents have filed a legal case against boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh alleging that he tortured their daughter whereas Rahul has already asked for an anticipatory bail.
Her friends too have slammed Rahul and questioned his absence from the hospital after her death. He only returned the next day. Amid all this, there was many angles the police was looking into. One was the money angle, the second was the pregnancy angle and the biggest of them was her troubled love life with Rahul. It was reported that Rahul maintained relations with his ex girlfriend Saloni Sharma and even physically abused Pratyusha at different public places.
Pratyusha and Saloni too had a huge showdown but Rahul never took the actress' stand. After two weeks of silence, Saloni has finally broken her silence. While she has been called the other woman in their love affair, Saloni has a different version to tell.
Talking to a leading daily, Saloni exclaimed, "He started dating her in May 2015 and I only discovered this in July through a few industry friends. When I went to his place to confront him, an inebriated Pratyusha barged in later and told me to get out of their lives. We had a huge argument after which I left them alone."
But that wasn't all. Rahul supposedly called Saloni the very next day, clearing the issues and requested her to ignore Pratyusha as they were 'just friends'. "I let it go, but contrary to what is being written, it wasn't me but Pratyusha who was the other woman in Rahul's life. She knew about our affair and manipulated Rahul to leave me, urging him to even break all professional ties," she said.
Pratyusha's close friends have also claimed that Saloni too hit Pratyusha and Saloni decided to clear the misunderstanding. She and Rahul had together invested in a company which was running in losses so one fine day, when the money stopped, Saloni decided to pay a visit to the couple's house in Oshiwara.
"Pratyusha refused to give me any money and turned violent, urging Rahul to join her in assaulting me. They threw me out of the house. She even took my purse, dupatta and glasses, so I asked the neighbours for help. I banged on the door and Pratyusha eventually opened it wearing my dupatta. She returned my stuff and I left. Pratyusha followed and I hit her too. Unfortunately, there was no CCTV in the apartment so there's no record of what happened there, but the camera in the lobby filmed the fight," Saloni revealed to the daily.
