SRK’s Fan teaser, which was unveiled around two days ago has received more views on YouTube than what Salman’s Sultan teaser got in two weeks.
YRF is on a high. With two of its upcoming films- Fan and Sultan, starring two of the biggest stars- Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan respectively, the production house is expected to create storms at the box office in 2016. And the production house has already unveiled the teasers of both their films on YouTube.
YRF had unveiled a 30 second teaser for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Sultan two weeks ago which had created a thunderstorm on the digital platform. While the teaser did not feature Salman at all, it gave an insight into the theme of the film- wrestling. Salman Khan in and as Sultan, the sher of Haryana, drew a lot of cheers from his fans.
On the other hand, YRF recently launched the first teaser of Maneesh Sharma’s Fan amidst a lot of hype. After news of mysterious graffiti painted on SRK’s Mannat walls broke out, the team quickly unveiled the teaser to put all rumours to rest. The story of a lookalike fan’s undying love for his superstar, Fan will star SRK in and as the Fan himself.
Both the teasers were equally awaited but it seems Shah Rukh has beaten Salman one more time. How? Fan teaser which released only two days back has received more views than Sultan’s which was unveiled almost two weeks back. Now that’s quite a feat, we must admit. At this point, Fan has almost 1.75 million views and is nearing the 2 million mark already while Sultan has around 1.24 million views.
Now the possible explanation can be that the Fan teaser features Shah Rukh himself while Sultan teaser only has a voiceover introducing Salman’s character. We accept that. But now that both the teasers have already been unveiled, we can’t wait for the first theatrical trailers to hot the digital space.
