Shah Rukh and Kajol are a dream team. They have been paired in many hits films. But the two haven't been seen together since My Name is Khan (2010) Now it is learnt that the pair will be reunited on the big screen in the remake of Hum. And it will be directed by Rohit Shetty. While it has been reported that the hit director is doing a remake of Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, an insider tells us that he is all set to remake Hum (1991) with Kajol playing the leading lady opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Hum seems to be a perfect choice as it is a family film, which is Rohit's forte.

The new team
While the original film directed by Mukul Anand had Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Govinda, Kimi Katkar, Shilpa Shirodkar, Deepa Sahi, Danny Denzongpa, Anupam Kher and Kader Khan. says our source, "The remake produced by Red Chillies, will see SRK reprise Bachchan's role as Tiger/Shekhar Malhotra while Kajol will play Kim's role as Jumalina Gonsalves or Jumma. Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor will reprise the roles of Rajinikanth (Kumar Malhotra) and Govinda ( Vijay Malhotra) who are Shekhar's younger step-brothers."

The patch-up
A source says, "Recently SRK and Kajol met on a flight and chatted for two hours and they spoke about the role the former had in mind for her in Hum. Of course, like all Rohit Shetty movies, only the basic concept from the original will be used and the rest of his film will be completely adapted in his own style. The film will be beginning shoot early 2015. It's all very hush-hush as they want to make a proper announcement after Happy New Year in Diwali as SRK doesn't want any attention to go away from that film.
