Samir Kocchar will not be seen in Bade Acche Laggte Hai any more. The actor  who made an entry seven months ago to provide the third angle to the Ram-Priya love story is bidding adieu as the two lead characters essayed by Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar are set for a reunion.

Rumours are that he is unhappy with the way his role has shaped up. “That’s not true. In fact, initially my role was supposed to be only for four months but it got extended. However, I feel the graph has come to a close. Priya and Ram are coming together so my character Rajat Kapoor will wish them well. Also, as he can’t see the girl he loves, with with another man, he will go back to Dubai,” clarifies Samir, who is happy with the response he garnered for the show.

When asked if he will be seen in any other serial, Samir says that though he is not averse to it, right now he wants to take a break, spend time with his wife and travel. Also, he wants to concentrate on films now. He has done a few films like Jannat, Zeher and Dangerous Ishq in the past and is all set to sign another. “I don’t want to talk about it now because I am a little  superstitious,” says the actor.

He, however, is more than willing to talk about  hosting the next season of Extra Innings T20.  He has been part of the show for five seasons now. “I must be doing something right with the show. When we began, I didn’t know how it will pan out as the Indian Premiere League was happening for the first time. The combination of cricket, Bollywood, masala songs, cheerleaders worked and it’s exciting to host the show,” smiles Samir.
