Same art directors for films of Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar!

Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh know each other well and have even acted together in Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do. And now by some quirky twist of fate, the same art director Amit Ray, along with his partner, Subrata Chakraborty have constructed the two actor’s film sets (for different films) in Film City studio in Goregaon. The duo has been art directors for Udta Punjab, Haider, Talvar and Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola earlier.

The two sets are huge and completely different from each other. While one is for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's grand period drama Padmavati (starring Ranveer, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor), the other is a jail for Nikhil Advani’s Lucknow Central (starring Farhan and Diana Penty). For LC, the Lucknow jail has been recreated. The massive structure took three months to be built.
