Ryan Gosling joins the long list of celebs paying tribute to Debbie Reynolds

La La Land star Ryan Gosling paid tribute to Debbie Reynolds, saying her movie Singin' in the Rain was a huge inspiration while they were making the musical.

Reynolds was at Palm Springs International Film Festival awards where his musical was honoured with this year's Vanguard Award, reported E! News.

"I wish I could have said this in person but I'd like to thank Debbie Reynolds for her wonderful career of work," said Gosling.

"She was an inspiration to us every day. We watched Singing in the Rain every day for inspiration, a truly unparalleled talent so thank you to her for all that inspiration," Reynolds said while accepting the award alongside director Damien Chazelle and composer Justin Hurwitz.
