Rishi Kapoor exposes Lingam Swami

If there is anyone who could out-speak Amitabh Bachchan, Sonakshi Sinha and Shobhaa De on twitter is the very matter-of-factly Rishi Kapoor.

Veteran actor Kapoor often known to be blunt on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, has brought attention to a disturbing picture. He posted a photo of a man who appears to be bending in front of Lingam Swami. The photo suggests that the man is taking blessings from the Swami's privates.

Criticising the apparent practice depicted in the photo, Kapoor tweeted on September 9, “Lingam Swami. Ridiculous. People so gullible as to take blessings of his private parts to have life long sex.Shameful,”.

With almost 600 retweets it is clear that his opinion did strike a chord with many. However the pragmatic and to-the-point @chintskp aka Chintu may have hit some of Lingam Swami's followers where it hurts the most with this one.

Then again, this is Rishi Kapoor and he will speak his mind. Several of Kapoor's tweets are about religion, blind faith and the oddities of Indian traditions. Unlike many celebrities who believe in sugar quoted voice, Rishi Kapoor is a refreshing change and readers seem to just lap it up.
