Revealed: Sonakshi Sinha announes release date of 'Akira' on Twitter!

Sonakshi Sinha recently unveiled the release date of her upcoming film with A.R. Murugadoss' Akira.

The 28-year-old actress took to her Twitter handle to make the announcement.

Guys super thrilled to announce @ARMurugadoss is back after Ghajini and Holiday. My action thriller #Akira releasing on 23rd Sept

Interestingly, as soon as Sonakshi broke the news #Akira started trending on the micro-blogging site.

This is Sonakshi's second film with the director; she was previously seen in Murugadoss' Holiday with Akshay Kumar. Akira will also star Konkona Sen Sharma and is a remake of the Tamil film Mouna Guru. It is being produced by Fox Star Studios.

The action drama will clash at the box office with Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar starrer, Manmarziyan which is being produced by Aanand L. Rai.
