The makers have just dropped the teaser and it proves that Samantha can pull off a desi look and an urban character with ease. In Rangasthalam she plays the role of -Lakshmi who sets Chitti Babu’s heart on fire. She is soul of the village and her infectious smile will melt your hearts. Ever since the teaser has been out, Samantha's twitter timeline is flooded with praises for her new film.

Directed by Sukumar, this period love story is set against a rural backdrop. The film boasts of first time pairing of Samantha and Ram Charan and is all set to release this Ugadi on 30th March. The movie will also star Pooja Hegde in a special number along with Ram Charan. The actress has already begun shooting for the song. It’s touted to be a massy number.
