Priyanka Chopra’s Mary Kom which got critical acclaim also raked in impressive box office collection in the beginning. It raked around Rs 27 crore in the first weekend itself, but collections slowed down considerably during the weekdays. Its pace was further disrupted by the two releases of the week – Bipasha Basu’s Creature 3D and Deepika Padukone-Arjun Kapoor’s Finding Fanny.

The film collections dropped after the first weekend and it could only collect around Rs 21 crore more in the next seven days, taking its total to around Rs 48 croren after its second weekend. The film raked in around Rs 7.25-7.50 crore in its second weekend itself, which is decent but given the pace it picked up in its first week, the numbers are disheartening.

Nevertheless, the film is expected to cross the Rs 50 crore mark soon and it is expected to settle around a Rs 55 crore lifetime business.
