Composed by Shashi-Shivam, the music of the film Mary Kom, a biopic on India's boxing champion MC Mary Kom, will be released on Wednesday night in Mumbai. Singers like Sunidhi Chauhan, Vishal Dadlani, Arijit Singh and Priyanka Chopra have sung the songs in the film.
According to media reports, Priyanka Chopra, who is playing the boxer in the biopic, has invited MC Mary Kom for the launch of the music album. It is reported that the two will be hosting the event along with debutant director Omung Kumar.
The music album is learnt to have a song – Ziddi dil – that is a tribute to Mary's fighting spirit. On the occasion, Mary Kom and Priyanka Chopra will also felicitate five people who realised their dreams by crossing a lot of hurdles.
In an interview given to a leading media daily, Priyanka is quoted to have said that her small stint in the boxing ring has taught her lessons that she will never forget. About the movie and its music launch, the actress explained that there is a great event planned for the launch, and Mary will be a part of the journey. Priyanka, who believes that Mary's ziddi dil has given wings to the film, also said that that there will be a few surprises on the day of music launch.
Produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Mary Kom is set to be released on September 5.
