Peruvian model-turned-chef is latest internet celebrity

A Peruvian model, who has now turned his steps to the cooking world, has become an internet celebrity. Voted as the hottest chef in the world, Franco Noriega gained celebrity status after he began uploading videos of him cooking in nothing but his underwear.

Noriega came to the United States in 2007 from Peru with dreams of becoming an actor. He was discovered in 2009 by fashion and portrait photographer Mario Testino and three days later ended up in a Dolce & Gabbana campaign, which kick-started his modelling career.

However, two years ago, Noriega shifted profession and attended culinary school because he loved cooking. Today, he has opened a restaurant in New York called Baby Brasa.

While sharing his secret of having such a well-sculpted body, Noriega said that he doesn't drink, but loves eating bread. He also told The New York post that he loves being shirtless. "I go to stores without a shirt because I'm so used to it, given that I hail from a tropical country."

Noriega's story has been doing the rounds on the Internet and currently, the model-turned-chef has 1.85 lakh followers on Instagram and 1.4 lakh likes on Facebook.
