While newbie actress Parineeti Chopra seems to have followed in her cousin sister actor Priyanka Chopra’s footsteps into Bollywood, seems like there’s more that the two have in common.

Not many are aware that like PC, Parineeti too is musically inclined. And a close friend of the young actor reveals that when it comes to music, she may actually be a few notches above PC, as unlike her older sis, Parineeti is actually a trained singer. “Not many know, but Parineeti has done her BA honours in music, and is learning Hindustani Classical. In fact, everyone in her family is a trained singer,” says the friend. The actor, it seems, is also open to playback singing and is already contemplating some offers.

According to another source, while the actor awaits her first solo release Ishaqzaade, she’s known to be busy doing riyaaz. 

“As she lives all by herself here, she spends her time learning music or inviting friends over for a singing session and even tweeted about it. In fact, she would even jam  impromptu on the sets after pack-up, which is how most of her cast and crew got to know of her skills. They were even insisting on her to plan an album and Parineeti herself is open to the idea,” shares the source.

“Parineeti comes from a small town of Ambala and from working in the PR department with Yash Chopra’s studio to neing launched in Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl, she had never considered acting. ‘It’s like a fairy tale come true,’ she says and so she wants to take one step at a time and not rush into anything. But she is keen on playback singing and the announcements will be done as soon as things get finalised,” adds the source.
