Pammi Aunty in Comedy Nights bachao

Ssumier Pasricha, who became an internet sensation with his humorous videos on Pammi Aunty, will be a part of the revamped Comedy Nights Bachao. The actor will appear as Pammi Aunty, the Punjabi gossip queen who takes on topical and day-to-day issues in a funny manner. Says a source, “Pammi won’t be part of the entire episode, but will be seen making an appearance for a while where he will have fun banter with the host of the show Mona Singh.” Ssumier confirms, “They have introduced a Pammi Aunty segment, so she will barge into the show whenever she feels like it and interact with the actors and celebrity guests on the show. Especially, since she knows most of the industry personally as she is everyone’s aunty! And of course, there will be the trademark ‘hanji Sarla Behnji call’.” 

Ssumier’s videos have been appreciated by the likes of Rishi Kapoor who tweeted about it and Anil Kapoor’s wife Sunita who has been sharing the videos. The actor last seen in Sasural Simar Ka adds that Karan Johar has complimented him and Sidharth Malhotra has messaged him saying his mom likes his videos. The latest is filmmaker Gurinder Chadha who sent him a video from London two days ago, saying she and her friends are enjoying Pammi Aunty videos. “That was overwhelming,” says Ssumier.
