Neetu Chandra going global

Actor Neetu Chandra has been away in Cyprus shooting for her maiden international project since the past couple of days. While she is thoroughly enjoying the shooting process and her stay there, she has already started missing home.

“Mumbai is where I belong. No matter which part of the world I go to, I always want to come back to Mumbai. There is no place like our city. I started missing home in less than 10 days. That, I guess, is probably the maximum time I can be away from home”, she confesses.

While the fact that the actor bagged the role in the film through filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is well known, what is not is that she bagged the role over internet. Talking about it she laughs as she says, “There weren’t any auditions as such but we had a couple of meetings. Since it wasn’t possible to meet in person, we met and spoke to each other over internet. We used Skype to meet and talk. It was a new experience for me because we never talk about movies over Skype. I had a couple of look tests for my role, wore outfits and did a trial for the producers over internet. It was a lot of fun,” she says.

While the actor is right now doing her first international film, Neetu reveals Hollywood or going global was never on her list of things to do. “I never wanted to do a Hollywood film. I have always been someone who has wanted to do a film in every region of our country. But I guess, sometimes when you don’t expect things, they happen. There must be something good in this since it has come to me and I am going to give it my best shot.” Ask her about her alleged relationship with actor Randeep Hooda and she clams up, “I have always been very vocal about the fact that I would like to keep my personal life personal. I don’t like talking about it and I don’t think it is anyone’s business. I am here to do good work and I don’t want to be in the news for my life off the sets,” she says.
