Nayanthara cast in Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 100th film 'Yodhudu'?

Tentatively titled Yodhudu, actor Nandamuri Balakrishna's 100th film is finally ready to go on floors. The film is an ancient Andhra historical flick directed by National Award-winner Krish Jagarlamudi. N Balakrishna will be seen as Goutamiputra Sathakarni, the ruler of Satavahana Empire. Actress Nayanthara may be on board to act beside Balakrishna for the third time.

According to sources, the makers of Yodhudu have approached Nayanthara for the film. It was Balakrishna who was keen to have the actress cast opposite him. The duo has previously worked together on two films— Simha and Sriramrajyam. They reportedly developed a great bond and gel well together. Now the pair is getting ready to share screen space once again for this historical film.

The film's cast also includes veteran actress Hema Malini who is going play the role of Goutami Balshri, the mother of Goutamiputra Sathakarni. However, no official announcement has been made yet. Devi Sri Prasad has been roped in as the music director for the film.

Nandamuri Balakrishna is also a Member of the Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Assembly. He is planning to launch this project on April 8 on the occasion of Ugadi at the Andhra Pradesh state capital Amaravati in the presence of Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu.
