This weekend comes with a mixed bag of movies from various genres. Here is a list of the upcoming Hollywood and Bollywood movies that are set to release this week in India

AFTER EARTH

The Smith family comes together to recreate Night Shymalan's magic in 'After Earth'. The movie is worth a watch for all science fiction lovers. It is based on a space expedition of a father and son who bond through catastrophic experiences in their journey.

This movie seems thrilling and fully loaded with the Will Smith sort of action.

Why you should go?

If you loved 'The Karate Kid', then you must go see a grown up Jaden. If you are a fan of Will Smith's action and charm and if Night Shyamalan's movies are a must watch for you, then you should be there!

Why you shouldn't?

If movies on scientology bore you. And if you're going for Will Smith, then you should know that he is not the lead, it's his son Jaden. The Guardian says that the movie “is not resonating with US audiences”, lets see if scores successfully among us.

The INTERNSHIP

'The Internship' is a comedy staring Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn. It is a movie representing the 21st Century, where two men loose their job and end up with an internship at Google, coming to realise that they are technologically handicapped in competition with the new generation. It is a movie to look out for as it is a light-hearted film with lots to laugh at. Two men, out there, struggling to prove that 'necessity really is the mother of re-invention' to a group of young geniuses.

Why should you go?

If you liked the movie 'Wedding Crashers' and you would want to see the Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn duo again.
If you are up for a light hearted-laugh riot.
If you relate to the plot and feel left out in this technologically-driven world.

Why you shouldn't?

If you have more important things to do and are more than wiling to give this a miss.
If you feel that this movie is nothing more than an advertisement for Google.

NOW YOU SEE ME

'Now you see me' has an exciting plot with four magicians who rob a bank during their performances. They teleport one member from the audience into a bank where he robs the bank and the money recovered is showered upon the audience. The FBI investigates and tries to figure out their tricks.

Why you should go?

For the magnificent cast and storyline. And if you find magic breath-taking. Also, if the thought that a bank can be robbed using magic amazes you.

Why you shouldn't?

You think the plot is ridiculous, no one can rob a bank using magic.

You have better things to do.

YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA 2

A much awaited Bollywood masala 'Yamla Pagla Deewana'2' hitting the theaters this week seems like the ultimate fun-packed movie this season. It promises double drama and entertainment. After the success of the first 'Yamala Pagla Deewana', one surely has high expectations from the sequel. The Deol trio with Neha Sharma and Kristina Akheeva uniting in UK seems exciting With Dharmendra on screen, we are all looking forward to relive the He-man's magic!

Because Dhamendra is on screen!

Also you've been missing a wholesome Punjabi-family-drama for long.

You saw YPD1 you might as well watch YPD2.

 'Kyun Hua Achanak' is based on four individuals of today's age who meet each other with the intention of making money for themselves, however it all turns out differently when people are reminded of their past, one of them is murdered and their lives take a complete turn.

Why you should go?

You think the movie has an interesting plot.

You like watching the off-beat sort of films.

Why you shouldn't?

Everything about this film seems unexciting.

MERE HAULE DOST

'Mere Haule Dost' is a young, new, refreshing movie based in Hyderabad. It is based on the experiences of four youngsters who go about their journey discovering new things, meeting new people and fascinating about Himalayan bike rallies.

Why should you go?

If you want to go out with your friends remembering your own crazy expeditions.

It's been a while since you've seen a movie based in Hyderabad.

You have a lot of time because of your college/school vacation.

Why you shouldn't?

You can't relate to the plot at all. You think it's a waste of money and time.

FILMISTAAN

'Filmistaan' releases on the 9th of June. It is based on the experience of an Indian filmmaker who is kidnapped by terrorists in a village in Pakistan where he bonds deeply with the locals and the terrorists. The movie describes his emotions and captures the locales beautifully.

Why should you go?

It's a National award wining film.

Nitin Kakkar's talent seems promising.

You enjoy films on travel.

You want to see a new perspective on the India-Pakistan relationship.

Why you shouldn't?

You see no reason to spend you Sunday over this.
