The MNS-affiliated Chitrapat Karmachari Sena  has asked for a boycott of Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming movie Dilwale in Maharashtra.

Shah Rukh Khan recently helped the victims of the Chennai floods by announcing financial aid. Alleging that he has not helped the drought-affected people of Maharashtra, the film wing of MNS has asked to give the Rohit Shetty movie a cold-shoulder, reports Zee 24 Taas.

"Farmers in Maharashtra, especially in Marathwada, are reeling under drought. Khan, who has been residing in the state and has made a lot of money, has not helped farmers in distress," MNS Chitrapat Karmachari Sena chief Amey Khopkar told PTI. "When his help is needed, he isn't forthcoming," Khopkar said.

Asked if MNS will seek a ban on the film, he said, "We are not seeking a ban. We are only appealing people to boycott the film. SRK is taking Maharashtra for granted," he added.

Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan, and Kriti Sanon, Dilwale is set to release on December 18. Interestingly enough, Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie, Bajirao Mastani too is releasing on the same date and it is facing flak from Shiv Sena.
