This aam aadmi from the Indiawale team won hearts with his earnestness in doing the tasks and his straightforwardness. Many of his fellow contestants described him as the man with a golden heart. Pitted against celebrity contestant Bani J in the finale, Manveer emerged as the winner. Here the farmer and businessman from Noida talks about giving takkar to celebrities, his journey in the house and more...

Did you enter the show with the aim of winning?
Honestly, I hadn't thought about it at all. But jis raaste se ja raha tha, the support and the votes I was getting, I realised I was going about it in the right way. It was only half-way through the show that I started thinking about winning the show.

What is the first thing that you will do now that you have won?
I haven't seen my family members for almost four months. I want to meet them and show them what I was and what I have become. I want to tell them that it is because of their support that I have come so far.

If not you, who do you think deserved to win the show?
It had to be among the commoners only. If not me, then Manu Punjabi was deserving. Jitna hum dono ne iss show ko diya - we made the atmosphere in the house homely. We did everything the way we would in the house - hasna, rona, task karna, washing clothes, etc. We did not think about our position, image or anything.

Who will you keep in touch with from inside the house?
I will try and keep in touch with all the commoners from the house Manu, Mona, Nitibha and Lokesh barring Swami Om and Priyanka Jagga.

Three people you think didn't deserve to be in the house?
Two people you already know - Swami Om and Jagga because of their antics. If I have to name one more person, it is a celebrity and that's Gaurav Chopraa. That's because there were a lot of expectations from him. Even in the show both of us had problems with each other and they never got cleared. I think he was conscious about his image and did not give much to the show - he remained an actor only.

What's the one thing you regret doing in the show?
I haven't done anything intentionally, but unintentionally there have been some fights and badtameeziyan that I have done during the tasks - like taking away clothes from Monalisa, and in raja runk task mein I fought with Lopa. Some lines that I shouldn't have crossed I may have, but it was not deliberate.

What are your thoughts on Lopa?
As Miss India, she represents the country and was quite strong. She would take a stand for things, she was stubborn and had an attitude. But at the same time she came across as immature when it came to doing tasks or taking decisions. But she deserved to be among the top four or three.

If you could go back and change one thing in the house, what would it be?
I was quite rattled by the food scene in the house. I got to know about rationing food only inside the house. People were hiding eggs, rice and other food items! I wish they send food from outside so that this doesn't happen.

Will you be shifting to Mumbai now and try in other shows?
I will do whatever people love to me see me in. If they want me to entertain I will do that. When I asked Salmanji, what I should do, he said, 'do whatever you do want to do man!' If people want me to entertain I will do that and shift to either Delhi or Mumbai.
