Mahii Vij likely to be 'Jamai Raja' lead as show leaps 20 years

With Nia Sharma opting out of Jamai Raja, which will take a leap of 20 years, sources say Mahii Vij will be the new face of the show along with Ravi Dubey.

Nia has put in her papers as she doesn’t want to age on screen. Ravi, on the other hand will continue to be a part of the show as he will be shown as Siddharth’s — played by Ravi — son.

The source reveals that talks are on with Mahii for the role opposite Ravi and though she is interested in the role, she is being cautious about it. “Last time she entered an ongoing show Balika Vadhu post a generation leap, the serial winded up within two months. It was her comeback show and she was highly disappointed. So, this time she is making sure that everything is clear-cut before getting on  board.’’
