Late music director Johnson's daughter Shan found dead in Chennai

Late music director Johnson's daughter, Shan Johnson was found dead in a Chennai hotel on Friday, Malayalam Manorama reports. Shan, a singer and composer herself, had recorded a song on Thursday night. 

The cause of her death is not known but the news has come as a shock. Manorama reports that her relatives are trying to have her body brought to Thrissur in Kerala, Manorama reports that her relatives are trying to have her body brought to Thrissur in Kerala.

The 29-year-old was trained in Carnatic and Western music and debuted as a composer in the His Name is John. She had been writing song lyrics for upcoming Malayalam film Vettah.

Shan's father Johnson was a well known Malayalam music composer who passed away in 2011. Her brother Renn died in a bike accident in Chennai in 2012.
