Kunal Kapoor gets his own video game

Kunal Kapoor will now be a  video game hero. The actor is  promoting the martial art, Kalaripayattu through his video game. The makers of the trilingual film Veeram in which he plays anti-hero Chandu Chekavar, are going to launch a fighting game featuring  Chandu, the protagonist, who will fight three opponents using his sword and the skills of Kalaripayattu.  Kunal has been involved in the game right from its inception. All the moves in the game are inspired from Kalari movements. Every character has unique moves and weapons. And all the weapons, from the dagger to the flexible sword are only used in Kalari. The team also plans on coming out with a series of comic books. Kunal says, “I grew up on Manga comics and the world of Veeram is as fascinating and unique as any comic book. Also, we grew up on so many martial arts across the world in movies and comic books, but there is so little about Kalari, which is considered the mother of all martial arts.”
