It has only been ten days since Salman Khan's superhero flick, 'Kick' bombast theatres all over the world. Garnering immense response and accolades in India right from the first day, the film has maintained a steady pace at the box office. After tabulations made till second Sunday, the film stands at a mammoth total of Rs 197 crore!

Having no other releases worth mentioning, 'Kick' seemed to have taken full advantage of the situation raking in enough money even in the second weekend. The film which collected in the range of Rs 14 crore on its second Sunday is nearly touching the 200 crore mark. Previously Salman's biggest blockbuster was 'Ek Tha Tiger' which came inches closer to the 200 crore mark but suffered a halt at Rs 198 crore.

Now, it is a given that the film will surpass 'Ek Tha Tiger' by today and also end the 200 crore club which includes films like '3 Idiots', 'Chennai Express', 'Krrish 3' and 'Dhoom: 3'. And not only that, with this, Salman Khan seems to have thumped over rival contemporary actor Shah Rukh Khan. Shah Rukh Khan had scored a home run of sorts with his last Eid release 'Chennai Express' setting new records and benchmarks in the genre of masala Bollywood films.

Comparing 'Chennai Express' and 'Kick's run at the box office, it is evident that Salman's 'Kick' has triumphed leaving SRK's 'Chennai Express' following behind by miles. Although 'Chennai Express' had a bigger opening compared to 'Kick', given the consistency that 'Kick' has maintained ever since its release, it has been successful in bringing in more money than the SRK starrer. While 'Chennai Express' collected about Rs 181.60 crore at the end of its 10 day run, 'Kick' has collected Rs 197.70 crore.

Seems after a dry run with 'Jai Ho', 'Kick' has somehow helped Salman cement his position as the biggest Box Office King! 'Chennai Express' had finished its run at a total of Rs 226.70 crore. What needs to be seen is how much business does Kick do before its long run can be cut short by Akshay Kumar's upcoming 'Entertainment' that storms theatres this Friday.
